The push rod B6-06-0618 with guide plate transmits the linear movement of the shift lever to the shift mechanism in the BMW 600 and ensures precise guidance of the shifting forces. As part of a restoration, the bolt eyes, the guide plate, and the rod itself should be inspected for warping, wear, and rust and, if necessary, straightened or reconditioned. This allows the original shifting quality and operational reliability of the transmission to be restored.
