The push rod B6-06-053 for the brake actuation of the BMW 600 transmits the actuation force from the pedal to the brake linkage and is therefore safety-critical. Since this is a used, untested part, it must be inspected for straightness, wear at the eyes, and corrosion prior to use during a restoration and, if necessary, reconditioned or replaced. Only a play-free, dimensionally accurate push rod ensures precise and consistent braking performance.
