The lower steering column B6-05-0475 for the BMW 600 transmits the steering torque from the upper steering column section to the steering gear and comprises several interconnected components (including those shown in Figures 47, 48, and 51). For a professional restoration, this used, unrepaired part should be thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and, if necessary, overhauled with new bearings and joints to prevent play, corrosion, and stiffness. This reliably restores the original steering precision and safety of the BMW 600.
