The steering spindle B6-05-0046 is the core component of the steering gear in the BMW 600 and converts the rotational movement of the steering wheel into axial movement of the steering mechanism. For a high-quality restoration, the threads and raceways should be inspected for wear and corrosion, and the spindle should only be installed with a properly fitting, dimensionally accurate spindle sleeve and fresh lubrication to minimize play and noise.
