The brake shoe half B6-04-0836 for the front axle of the BMW 600 holds the brake lining and, thanks to an integrated threaded hole, allows the brake lining clearance to be adjusted via an adjustment screw. The glass bead-blasted, used part is untested and should be inspected for cracks, corrosion, and thread wear as part of a restoration, and then fitted with new linings. This allows the drum brake to be rebuilt reliably and true to the original.
