The shaft seal B6-04-0611 (58 x 70 x 8 mm, iron/felt) seals rotating shafts against the housing on the front and rear axles of the BMW 600, preventing oil loss and the ingress of dirt. During restoration, worn-in running surfaces and hardened old seal rings should be systematically replaced to restore the original sealing effect. Careful installation and slight pre-tensioning of the felt ensure long-term functionality in classic car operation.
