The B6-03-099 cover seals the inspection hole in the drive housing of the BMW 600 (BMW Part No. 23111061709) and ensures the transmission is oil- and dust-tight. During a transmission overhaul or restoration, a warped or corroded original cover should be replaced with an intact part and always installed with a new gasket. This keeps the inspection opening functional without compromising the seal of the historic BMW 600 transmission.
