This left exhaust pipe (Part No. B6-02-0951) connects the engine of the BMW 600 carburetor to the heater heat exchanger via a triangular flange; the heater side is connected via a 2-hole flange, and the pipe also supports the heater via an integrated bracket. For a restoration-quality repair, check for corrosion, cracks in the flanges and bracket, and the flatness of the sealing surfaces, and straighten or weld them as necessary. Only a tightly fitted and mechanically stable pipe ensures safe exhaust gas routing and effective, exhaust-free interior heating.
