This used protective tube B6-01-078 for the pushrod in the BMW 600 engine protects the valve train from dirt and directs the lubricating oil back into the engine block in a controlled manner. For a professional restoration, the tube and sealing surfaces should be inspected for corrosion, warping, and hairline cracks and installed with new gaskets. This improves the valve train’s seal and preserves the original design of the BMW 600 engine.
