The 4.0 mm split ring, groove 3 with a 0.5 mm allowance (Part No. B6-01-0760) is intended for reworked or worn grooves in the BMW 600 engine and restores a play-free lock and seal there. During restoration, the groove is usually re-turned or re-milled, so an oversized ring is necessary to achieve the original function. Careful dimensional control and clean surfaces are crucial in this process.
