The used piston B6-01-072002 for the BMW 600 engine from Mahle, Nüral, or Kolbenschmitt is offered in dimensions of 73.94–73.96 mm with a 20 mm piston pin diameter and is sometimes available without pins or piston rings. For restoration projects, it is suitable as a source of parts or for use as a replacement, but should be thoroughly measured, checked for cracks and wear, and fitted with new rings and, if necessary, a new piston pin before being reinstalled. Only with the correct installation clearance and a flawless surface can a used piston operate reliably and durably in a restored BMW 600 engine.
