The push rod 5-0870 mechanically connects the BMW Isetta’s handbrake lever to the brake linkage and transmits the operating force without play. During restoration, ensure the rod is straight, the threads are intact, and there is no corrosion to guarantee precise adjustment of the parking brake. The existing zinc plating provides basic protection, but should be supplemented if necessary and combined with appropriate lubrication at the contact points.
