The 5-0012 rubber spacer is used in the BMW Isetta (1×250 cm) and BMW 600 (2×250 cm) as an elastic layer between the frame and the body or floor panel. During restoration, it replaces aged or missing original strips, prevents metal-to-metal contact, reduces noise, and protects against contact corrosion. For a lasting effect, the contact surfaces must first be thoroughly cleaned and treated with a preservative.
