The spherical bolt (thrust piece) with part number 4-1100 is used on the front axle of the BMW Isetta for self-aligning, point-load force transmission in the steering and axle mechanisms. During restoration work, worn or corroded spherical thrust pieces should be consistently replaced to prevent steering play and noise. A new bolt restores the vehicle’s original axle geometry and precise steering function.
