The original BMW wheel nut 3-0422 is designed for split rims on the BMW Isetta front axle and ensures even clamping of the rim halves onto the wheel stud. During a restoration, worn or corroded wheel nuts should be consistently replaced, as they can quickly lead to uneven clamping on split rims and thus cause damage to the rim or wheel hub. With this original nut, the wheel mounting remains both technically correct and true to the original factory condition.
