The left steering knuckle (Part No. 3-001) is a used original part of the BMW Isetta front axle and serves to mount the wheel hub and transmit steering movement. For a high-quality restoration, it should be cleaned before reinstallation, checked for cracks and warping, and the bearing seats should be welded up and reworked if necessary. It is particularly important to subsequently check the play in conjunction with new bushings and bolts to ensure a play-free and safe front axle.
